The above findings are based on results from a preliminary trial. A preliminary, uncontrolled study was conducted in 27 overweight, healthy men and women. Participants were instructed to follow the Cinch Inch Loss Plan for a period of 12 weeks. Outcome measures included body weight, BMI, fat mass, fat-free mass, waist and hip circumference, and waist to hip ratio. Eighteen subjects completed the study and complete data was available from 14 subjects. Skin fold caliper measurements were used to estimate lean body mass and fat mass.
