How long do liquid herbal formulas last?
A couple of months ago a naturopath made me two preparations containing herbs like burdock, clover and other things. The herbs came from a large closet in the clinic stocked of small bottles. I no longer see this naturopath as I have moved away, but I still have most of the liquids left since I didn't like the taste and gave up quickly. They are dated from May and I would be interested in taking them again. Are they still good?
They won't work for whatever they were 'prescribed' for the first time so they still won't work now. Drugs have active ingredients that degrade with time, but if something didn't work in the first place then degradation will have no effect.
